Work Location : Same as above, and at various clients’ locations in Southern Ontario. Occasional travel to trade shows in the USA, Europe, and Canada (except BC).

Job Description


  • Promote technical equipment sales to existing clients

  • Identify and solicit potential clients inside the food processing industry

  • Make contact and build rapport with all levels of people in the food industry

  • Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of good or service

  • Conduct sales and negotiate transactions

  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates

  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support

  • Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions

  • Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of technical goods or services

  • Advertise and / or promote products, sales or services

  • Read blueprints to determine dimensions of structure or system and material requirements

  • Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services based on industry knowledge

  • Represent companies that export and import products or services from foreign countries

  • Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client’s needs

  • Reach out to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support

  • Train customers’ staff in the operation and maintenance of technical equipment

  • Provide customer service and consistent feedback to buyers, maintenance staff and technical team

  • Attend trade shows on behalf of our company



Requirements


  • Education : College diploma is required.

  • Experience : A minimum of five years of experience with specific technical food processing industry equipment is required.

  • Type of product : Industrial and technical machinery, parts, and supplies for the food processing industry.

  • A valid G-class driver’s license is required to travel to clients’ locations.

  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities : Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Hand-eye co-ordination, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking.

  • Personal Suitability : Client focus, Excellent oral communication, Organized, Team player, Initiative, Positive attitude, Excellent interpersonal skills, Proficient written communication, Reliability, Flexibility and Creativity.

  • Weight handling : 25 lbs / Kg

  • Computer skills : MS Office, Excel.

  • Language : English is required

  • Salary : $37.62 hourly, 40 hours per week.

Important Information
