  • 6-12 months of work experience in a related role.
  • Some knowledge of mechanics.

Job description
The Opportunity

Responsible for providing support to the service department as well as to branch operations including, but not limited to, building maintenance, both inside and outside of the building.

The Role
  • Valid forklift operator ticket or able to obtain it
  • Able to operate forklifts, wheel loaders, excavators, etc
  • G class or higher driver's license
  • Mechanically inclined, able to boost machines, disconnect batteries, identify problems when shipping and receiving machines
  • Can use basic Microsoft applications
  • Can use cell phone
  • Effective communication skills; working with drivers, sales team, managers
  • Ship machines (paperwork, pictures, uploading onto shared drive)
  • Receive machines (paperwork, pictures, uploading onto shared drive)
  • Load & unload machines
  • Loading & unloading attachments using forklift and other material handling equipment
  • Yard organization & clean up
  • Daily yard checks of equipment (security)
  • Inventory checks
  • Looking for machines, attachments for the sales team & take pictures
  • Shop clean up; sweeping, garbage, organization
  • Cleaning of machines both for sales team & customer units
  • Responsible for scrap metal, wood bins, garbage, snow removal and front yard maintenance
The Candidate

Education: High School; Forklift Certification an asset

Work Experience: 6-12 months

Knowledge: Some knowledge of mechanics
