Position

We are presently accepting resumes for two (2) Permanent Full-Time Support Worker III - Day Line positions. These positions will be assigned to work in our group homes in Barrie, working up to 75 hours biweekly.

compensation and Benefits

Compensation Package

  • Additional hours may be available with a minimum rate of pay of $25.96/hour;
  • 11 paid Statutory Holidays;

Following The Successful Completion Of Probation

Minimum Qualifications
  • Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer is required;
  • 6 months direct work experience with the Developmental Services Sector;
  • Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;
  • A valid class "G" driver's license and own reliable transportation is required;
Role / Duties

Our Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities include providing support for personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
