Front of House Manager
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House Manager to lead our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. Previous experience in food industry settings such as hotels, restaurants, or bars is highly valued. The Front of House Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of hospitality and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front‑of‑house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and service to uphold quality standards and customer satisfaction
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead team management activities including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for guests
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally to enhance guest experience
- Assist with restaurant management tasks such as inventory control, scheduling, and operational planning
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation when necessary and ensure seamless communication between front and back of house
- Uphold hospitality standards by demonstrating leadership in service excellence and team collaboration
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality roles with supervision responsibilities
- Strong background in food service, food handling, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations diplomatically
- Leadership qualities with previous team management or supervising experience
- Ability to interview candidates and contribute to hiring decisions
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen processes
- Experience in the food industry with a focus on hospitality or hotel environments is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced setting
- Previous barista experience or bar management skills are considered a plus
Job Type: Full‑time
Pay: $36,639.16 - $55,000.00 per year
