Overview

One of Manulife's largest Group Benefits clients is SISIP Financial (SISIP F), which provides financial products and services exclusively to the military community. The SISIP Services Department at Manulife administers aspects of the plan on behalf of SISIP F, dealing with serving and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The CAF Long Term Disability (LTD) Team is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Calculation Analyst on a regular full-time basis. The position is bilingual required. The Calculation Analyst handles a variety of tasks vital to managing CAF LTD claimants' files.

Position Responsibilities
  • Long Term Disability claim approvals
  • Benefit adjustments and recovering benefits overpaid
  • Financial duties such as stop payments, voids, refund deposits, garnishments, processing TD1s and calculating employment income offsets on a frequent basis
Required Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, in French and English
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
  • Experience with accounting, finance, payroll, bookkeeping, benefit payment or related duties in an administrative/clerical role is an asset; however, university/college graduates would also be considered
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook / Office 365
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology would be an asset
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision making skills with strong mathematical aptitude
  • Analytical skills with close attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Deadline driven
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology would be an asset

Salary range

Between $37,425.00 CAD and $62,375.00 CAD
