Overview

With years of success behind them and exciting growth ahead, they are seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations across both divisions. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the company’s financial direction, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for both the Residential Construction and Automotive divisions.
- Manage day-to-day accounting functions including processing transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Support costing and financial analysis for construction projects and automotive operations.
- Lead preparation for audits and work closely with external auditors.
- Identify opportunities to modernize systems and implement new programs and technologies to streamline operations.
- Provide financial insights and reporting to support management decision-making.
- Supervise and support administrative office staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Contribute to the company’s growth by driving continuous improvement initiatives across both divisions.
Qualifications
- CPA designation with a minimum of 2 years post-designation experience.
- Background in commercial or residential construction and / or machine / automotive shop environments.
- Strong knowledge of costing, financial reporting, and auditing.
- Tech-savvy with experience implementing accounting or ERP software.
- Proven ability to develop policies and processes in alignment with safety and compliance standards.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
