Overview

With years of success behind them and exciting growth ahead, they are seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations across both divisions. This role is a unique opportunity to shape the company’s financial direction, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term success.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for both the Residential Construction and Automotive divisions.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including processing transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, internal controls, and processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Support costing and financial analysis for construction projects and automotive operations.
  • Lead preparation for audits and work closely with external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities to modernize systems and implement new programs and technologies to streamline operations.
  • Provide financial insights and reporting to support management decision-making.
  • Supervise and support administrative office staff, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Contribute to the company’s growth by driving continuous improvement initiatives across both divisions.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation with a minimum of 2 years post-designation experience.
  • Background in commercial or residential construction and / or machine / automotive shop environments.
  • Strong knowledge of costing, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Tech-savvy with experience implementing accounting or ERP software.
  • Proven ability to develop policies and processes in alignment with safety and compliance standards.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
