The Province of British Columbia has chosen South Fraser Station Partners to work on the Surrey-Langley SkyTrain project. The SFSP scope of work includes the construction of eight stations, a 250m Guideway, three standalone Power Propulsion Substations, and three bus exchanges. The Surrey-Langley SkyTrain Project will improve regional connections and provide fast, frequent, and reliable transit service for people and businesses across Metro Vancouver, especially south of the Fraser River. The general partnership is made up of Aecon, Pomerleau, and Acciona.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Accountable for the safe execution of work on site, adhering to all site requirements.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure that client policies and project procedures are being adhered to and followed by project personnel.
  • Assist in developing the project master schedule with Project Controls, Project Managers, and Construction Managers. Ensure subcontractors and trades support staff comply with the project master schedule.
  • Responsible for ensuring the Site Infrastructure Plan meets Construction’s requirements for outage work execution.
  • Utilize the project master schedule, look-ahead schedules, and plans for trade general foreman and subcontractor use in collaboration with Project and Construction teams.
  • Coordinate with the client and Project Managers for all planning, ensuring their schedule aligns with ours.
  • Attend customer meetings as required.
  • Monitor and manage risks, develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budget is in jeopardy, and communicate recovery plans to the customer.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Construction Managers to ensure compliance with project budgets for trade hours, tools & equipment, rentals, consumables, and bulk materials.
  • Ensure trades personnel and staff complete all necessary training in safety, quality assurance, technical qualifications, and client-specific requirements.
  • Ensure projects are constructed in accordance with drawings, specifications, CWPs, CITPs, schedule, and budget.
  • Maintain appropriate field documentation including safety records, daily reports, training records, and others.
  • Interface with customers to provide project status reports and meet their needs.
  • Maintain the site’s P&L and work with the Sr. Project Manager on financials and cost forecasting.
  • Provide status and progress reports to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Review and approve timesheets, expense reports, and training requests within Limits of Authority.
  • Manage the performance of all direct-report employees, including coaching, mentoring, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable code of conduct policies.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • A technical college diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Business acumen in financials, schedules, negotiations, and earned value management is an asset.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of construction and supervision experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction technology, methods, trade agreements, engineering, cost control, scheduling, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Proven ability to supervise large, complex projects with multiple trades and subcontractors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Construction Trade policies.

The expected pay range for this position is between $120,000.00 - $140,000.00.
