Job description

The Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) provides speech, language and swallowing services to acute, rehab or complex care patients under the supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist, in one-on-one and group settings. The CDA will treat patients with conditions which may include frailty, tracheostomy, stroke and other neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver speech, language and swallowing services under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist, in both one-on-one and group settings.
• Support assessment and therapy planning and participate in patient care as directed by clinical supervision.
• Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with clinic and regulatory requirements.
