Overview

We280re hiring an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst to support initiatives within a leading Canadian financial institution. This role is ideal for someone with strong domain knowledge, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams to define solutions
  • Support end-to-end project delivery across Agile or Waterfall environments
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and data analysis
  • Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect management
  • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and other project documentation
Must-Have Skills
  • Proven experience as a BA or BSA in financial services
  • Strong understanding of IBOR, portfolio management, payments,
  • Experience working with multi-asset classes (e.g. equities, fixed income, FX, money markets)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Access
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive deliverables
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with asset mix strategies, trade execution, and risk analysis
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
  • Technical background or ability to liaise with development teams
