Job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a passion for delivering exceptional automotive service. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicle systems while ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and quality workmanship.

Duties

  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
  2. Diagnose vehicle issues using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment.
  3. Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs.
  4. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  5. Interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and troubleshoot problems accurately.
  6. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes and recommendations clearly to clients.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
  8. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the shop.

Skills

  1. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work on various vehicle makes and models.
  2. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  3. Experience working in a dealership environment is a plus.
  4. Ability to lift heavy objects as required during repairs (heavy lifting).
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
  6. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
  7. Familiarity with automotive schematics for troubleshooting purposes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
