Job summary

A local packaging and supplies company in Peel Region, Mississauga, is seeking an experienced office coordinator to manage daily operations and communicate with staff. The ideal candidate has a secondary school diploma and strong multitasking abilities, along with excellent communication skills. The role requires working on-site without remote options.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
  • Assist with staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Coordinate the flow of information within the team
  • Direct and control daily operations
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures
  • Record and prepare minutes of meetings, seminars and conferences
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  • Oversee the classification and rating of occupations
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
  • Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury
