A regional educational organization located in Beaconsfield is seeking candidates for an administrative support position. The successful applicant will manage correspondence, assist with travel arrangements, and support office operations. Ideal candidates will possess strong keyboarding and communication skills, along with a working knowledge of databases and office software. The South Metropolitan Education Regional Office is located in Beaconsfield, near Fremantle. There are 263 public schools located in the South Metropolitan Education Region. There are approximately 127 000 students enrolled in compulsory schooling within the region.
The successful applicants will provide administrative support to the Regional Office including the preparation and delivery of correspondence, preparation and distribution of agendas and minutes of meetings and follow up on actions, where required. They will also manage incoming telephone calls, visitor enquiries, diary appointments and meetings. Assisting with travel arrangements, including preparing travel documents, booking flights and booking accommodation may also be a component of this role.
They will process incoming and outgoing enquiries and correspondence, action routine matters by drafting responses and preparing basic reports. They will administer the operation of databases, records and management information systems and maintain an effective correspondence filing system for corporate information and records.
