Overview

In application security at PwC, you will provide security services to development teams including code scanning, readiness testing, and penetration testing to enable application teams to build and deploy secure applications in Production. You will utilise a risk-based methodology and shift-left approach to engage early in the software development lifecycle. The Acceleration Centre (AC) is about maximizing value, unlocking opportunities and creating a great experience for our people and clients, delivering high-quality tax, assurance and consulting services using the latest technologies, processes and best practices.

Meaningful work — you’ll be part of the Acceleration Centre, Salesforce Specialist, and work as part of a team of problem solvers to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Working in a team environment with people from multiple backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including end-users, to collect requirements and feedback and integrate them into the system.
  • Maintaining and enhancing the data model, user interface, business logic, and security for custom applications.
  • Supporting enhancement and deployment of custom functionalities using various Salesforce tools such as Salesforce Apex and Visualforce on a bespoke Force.com platform.
  • Estimating level of effort for activities and conducting post-implementation support activities (scope and impact management).
  • Maintaining and enhancing dashboards, user interfaces, business logic, and security for custom applications; supporting development activities under supervision of team leads.
  • Participating in Incident, Problem, Change and Release management processes as required.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned, such as acting as a backup Scrum Master.
Experiences and skills
  • Security Clearance is mandatory for all staff engaged on these assignments. Prior to applying, review the Government of Canada website to ensure you meet the eligibility requirements. This will become a condition of employment if an offer is received.
  • Interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends; openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work; strong analytical capability and initiative.
  • Teamwork and collaboration with internal and external teams; commitment to valuing differences and working with diverse people and perspectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure with a can-do attitude; capable of meeting tight deadlines and prioritizing work; strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail; independent/self-starter with responsibility for information used in decisions.
  • Creative and critical thinking to troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions; self-motivated with a desire for personal growth.
  • Experience with building, customizing and maintaining cloud applications and/or cloud platforms (Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Marketing Cloud and mobile platforms). Asset: Android and Apple platforms.
  • Experience with virtual team collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Google Meet, Mural, Asana, Jamboard).
  • Knowledge of ongoing integration and deployment support approaches and tools. Experience with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Backbone) is an asset.
  • Salesforce Certification is an asset (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder or Platform Developer). Knowledge of integrating Salesforce with external systems is an asset.
  • Fluency in English; French is an asset as you may need to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
