Job summary
A leading location data and technology platform company based in São Paulo, Brazil is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage General Ledger tasks. The role requires a college degree in Accounting or Finance and 5+ years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office. The position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with three days on-site and two days remote. English fluency is required.

- Experience with accounting software programs.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
Responsibilities
- Record daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries.
- Oversee payroll activities and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and review workpapers for tax compliance.
- Prepare financial reports and their support schedules.
- Conduct statutory audits with external and internal auditors.

General Ledger Accounting:
This role is responsible for multiple accounting tasks that comprise:
- Journal entries: Record daily, weekly and monthly journal entries across different entities.
- Payroll: Oversight and support of payroll activities to ensure correct payments and internal control processes are followed. Work with internal and external stakeholders for social security compliance.
- Taxes: Prepare and review workpapers for external fiscal consultants for tax compliance.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and their support schedules.
- Statutory Audit: Conduct the process with external and internal auditors.
This position requires a college level degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 5 years of professional experience, preferably in a global company. The following skills and knowledge are also desired:
- Experience with accounting software programs, ERPs (such as PeopleSoft, SAP, etc.).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good communication skills, proactiveness, independence and team spirit drive.
- Verbal and written English fluency.
IMPORTANT:
This role reports is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and follows a hybrid working arrangement of three days site in our Sao Paulo office and two days remote (work from home). No exceptions will be made to this working arrangement.
