Overview

Summary of position and objectives:

The Release Manager role will be responsible for deploying builds across the environment, on-boarding new environment, handling transversal projects and creating release management related documents and sharing release plans with the stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Facilitate release activities across all releases, ensuring quality and timely deployments across environments.
  • Maintain the release schedule for all core services and ensure alignment across key partners and vendors.
  • Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates.
  • Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including QA plans, schedule, and scope changes.
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews with stakeholders.
  • Produce Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans.
  • Participate in CAB meetings to present Production changes (RFCs).
  • Lead and coordinate the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists.
  • Weekly Release Reporting with Program Release Manager.
  • Own and continually improve the release process by documenting release issues and developing plans to improve processes, with a view to automation where appropriate.
  • Interact with people across hierarchical levels to ensure smooth project execution and manage complex projects.
Qualifications and Experience Required
  • English language is mandatory to collaborate in a global environment, including writing, speaking and presenting.
  • Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipelines.
  • Good understanding of cloud deployment, preferably Azure and Agile practice.
  • Knowledge of deployment tools such as Octopus.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Excel-Macros.
  • Document management to adhere to audit compliance process is an added advantage.
  • 4 to 5 years of relevant release and deployment management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and analytical skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Desired Technical Stack: Platforms: Windows, Linux; Database: MSSQL; Ticketing Tools: ServiceNow; Cloud Environment: MS Azure; CI and Build Deployment Tools: Octopus Deploy; Version Control Tool: Azure DevOps; Monitoring tools: Grafana.
Additional Information

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00. Hybrid work arrangement.
