Job summary
A luxury hotel chain in Ras al-Khaimah is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting faults, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospitality environment, showcasing strong technical skills. Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting and power distribution.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Quickly respond to electrical emergencies and ensure safety systems are operational.
Skills
- Inspect maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, circuit breakers and electrical panels.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, banquet halls and other hotel facilities.
- Repair or replace defective electrical components such as switches, outlets, motors and wiring.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
- Maintain backup power systems including generators and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
- Quickly respond to electrical emergencies, power outages and urgent repair requests.
- Ensure fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety systems are operational.
- Monitor and suggest improvements to reduce energy consumption.
- Ensure adherence to local electrical codes and safety guidelines.
- Use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols.
- Work closely with other maintenance team members including HVAC, plumbing and general technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections and maintenance activities.
- Report any major issues to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.
Minimum of 23 years of experience as an Electrical Technician preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
