Job description

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance & Repairs

• Inspect maintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, circuit breakers and electrical panels.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults in guest rooms, kitchens, banquet halls and other hotel facilities.
• Repair or replace defective electrical components such as switches, outlets, motors and wiring.

Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Maintain backup power systems including generators and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).

Emergency Response

• Quickly respond to electrical emergencies, power outages and urgent repair requests.
• Ensure fire alarms, emergency lighting and other safety systems are operational.

Energy Efficiency & Safety Compliance

• Monitor and suggest improvements to reduce energy consumption.
• Ensure adherence to local electrical codes and safety guidelines.
• Use proper protective equipment and follow safety protocols.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with other maintenance team members including HVAC, plumbing and general technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, inspections and maintenance activities.
• Report any major issues to the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum of 23 years of experience as an Electrical Technician preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment.
