Qualifications

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Installation Technician to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities:Install and terminate fiber optic cables (FTTH FTTP FTTB etc.)
Test and troubleshoot fiber networks using OTDRs power meters and other diagnostic equipment
Interpret blueprints schematics and technical drawings
Splice fiber optic cables and enclosures in aerial and underground settings
Ensure all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with customers team members and supervisors
Maintain accurate documentation of installation testing and repair activities
Provide technical support during service outages or system upgrades
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field preferred
13 years of experience in fiber optic installation or similar role
Familiarity with fiber optic tools and equipment (fusion splicer OTDR etc.)
Strong understanding of networking principles and fiber technology
Valid drivers license with clean driving record
Ability to lift and carry equipment work in confined spaces and at heights
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
Certifications such as FOA CFOT or equivalent
Experience with aerial or underground fiber deployments
Knowledge of local/state regulations related to telecom installation
