Associate / Assistant Professor in Data Analytics

The Department of Information Technology at Ajman University's College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) invites applications for a full-time Assistant / Associate Professor in Data Science/Analytics, starting in Fall 2025/2026.

The successful candidate will focus on research and teaching in data science/analytics, with responsibilities including undergraduate teaching, engagement with practice and the business community, and collaboration with other programs within the department.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Ph.D. in Data Science/Analytics or related fields from a reputable university.
• Outstanding research record with publications in top international journals and conferences (Scopus and SCIE).
• Proven excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and learning outcome assessment.
• Experience teaching data science and computing courses at the undergraduate level.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and provide professional service.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Industrial experience in statistical consultancy.
• Willingness to engage in cross-disciplinary research and teaching.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and teach undergraduate courses in Data Science/Analytics and Computer Science.
• Implement innovative, technology-based teaching approaches.
• Publish high-quality research in leading international journals.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees.
• Contribute to the growth of Ajman University.
• Provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.
• Seek methods, procedures, and resources to achieve course objectives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
