The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Demonstrable research capability to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in the candidate’s area of expertise, resulting in publishing research findings in refereed journals.
• Active engagement in promoting the growth of the Economics program and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at UAEU through personal outreach and outreach with students to the public and private sectors.
• Participation in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and/or dissertations.
• Participation in committees at the departmental, college, and university levels as assigned.
• Provision of consultancy to researchers and the business community.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A Ph.D. in Economics from an internationally recognized university and AACSB-accredited school.
2. A research record in Economics and demonstrated ability to publish in leading international journals.
3. Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment.
4. Experience teaching Economics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
5. Open to cross‑disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching, and program development.
6. Ability to communicate effectively in English.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills, and a flexible and versatile team player.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Professional and industry experience in Economics.
