The Department of Accounting at United Arab Emirates University is seeking an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Financial Accounting starting Fall 2026. The candidate is expected to contribute actively to promoting the growth of the accounting program and the College of Business & Economics (CBE) at UAE University. The Accounting Department at UAEU is recognized for excellence in accounting education and research in the UAE and within the GCC and the MENA region. It aspires to be one of the leading global centers for accounting thought. The Department is part of the oldest and largest university in the UAE and the first AACSB-Accounting accredited department in the GCC and MENA region. Our undergraduate and MPA programs provide the practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for navigating and leading in the complex global business world. Furthermore, they assist our students in developing the skills necessary for participation in society. Earned PhD degree in accounting from an internationally recognized university with emphasis on financial accounting. The ability to teach undergraduate courses is a must.
In addition to the above, preference will be given to candidates with a strong research and publication record in financial accounting. This is evidenced by a high Scopus h-index and citations.
PhD in Accounting (preferably with a focus on financial accounting with additional qualification in data analytics). Professional experience and/or professional certification (CPA/CIA/ACCA) are preferable.
