Loan Syndicate & Distribution (LSD) provides critical market intelligence, loan underwriting, and distribution skills in support of FAB's GCF Loan Businesses. LSD works closely with DCM-Loans & Bonds (DCMLB) and Structured Finance (SF) to provide optimal financing solutions for FAB's clients and to drive growth in the GCF's loan product revenues.

The role's purpose is to develop and maintain strategic relationships with banks & financial institutions across EMEA to understand their credit appetite, pricing hurdles, and client focus in the loan markets. These relationships help FAB secure Lead Arranger/Bookrunner roles (whether underwritten or on a best efforts basis), participate in external syndication deals led by other banks, and source secondary loan sale or purchase opportunities.

1. Serve as the regional reference point for pricing and loan market intelligence for underwriting transactions.
2. Price, structure, and book transactions originated by GCF Loans teams.
3. Develop and maintain investor relationships for primary and secondary syndications.
4. Lead syndication discussions with third-party banks, presenting client analysis, underwriting fees, and proposed financing structures.
5. Design syndication strategies for transactions originated by GCF Loans Team.
6. Manage global underwriting positions.
7. Understand and adhere to FAB's policies and procedures related to the Loans business of GCF.
8. Collaborate with Coverage partners, Legal, Credit, and Operations to ensure timely transaction execution.
9. Analyze loan market data and developments to support senior loan origination team members.
10. Ensure accurate and timely internal reporting; support strategic initiatives like budgeting and business planning.
11. Manage projects proactively once assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic and/or European languages is advantageous.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex topics to senior audiences.

• 5-10 years in the banking sector, with at least 5 years in corporate loan markets; experience in loan syndication preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to network with market counterparts.
• Strong understanding of corporate financials, investment appraisals, and financial modeling.
• Legal knowledge related to loan documentation and mechanics.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Respect for local cultures in the UAE and GCC countries.
