The Site Engineer - Mechanical is responsible for overseeing and managing the mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and components at project sites. The Site Engineer will be tasked with ensuring that all mechanical systems comply with technical specifications and safety standards. Additionally, they will work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall construction process. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Site Engineer - Mechanical plays a crucial role in ensuring that mechanical systems are installed accurately and function efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems in construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and design teams to ensure project objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors for timely completion of mechanical work.
• Prepare detailed project reports and documentations for ongoing and completed work.
• Assist in the procurement process by providing specifications for mechanical components.
• Resolve any on-site issues related to mechanical systems and equipment promptly.
• Ensure that all installations are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and site staff as needed.
• Participate in project meetings to discuss progress and address potential obstacles.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards in all mechanical work.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a mechanical engineering role within construction.
• Proven experience in managing mechanical projects from inception to completion.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and safety regulations for construction sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other engineering applications.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and contractors.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.
