As an Iron Technician to dismantle inspect repair and rebuild SPM & Customer Owned Treating Iron equipment. The role of this assignment is that of an individual contributor who performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner in line with SPM Oil & Gas Safety Quality Environmental Operational Procedures.

• Communicating major issues in equipment performance and maintenance to the managers; Supporting the team in implementing robust solutions to improve overall efficiency yield and uptime of the equipment.
• Complying with safety health and environmental guidelines and participating in continuous improvement of the procedures while performing equipment maintenance.
• Pressure tests all Treating Iron & Set Relief valves under minimum supervision.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping at all times within workshop cells.
• Any other duties as required by your Supervisors.
• Loading out equipment and recording serial numbers Using Iron Request Forms.

• Teamwork - Knowledge of the necessity and value of teamwork; experience with; ability to work cooperatively towards shared goals and being supportive of others at all levels.
• Attendance/Punctuality- Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
• Safety and Security- Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
• Dependability- Follows instructions responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan.
• Mechanical/Machinery - Knowledge of machines and tools; ability to use knowledge of machinery or mechanical objects including their designs uses repair and maintenance.

• 1 to 2 years experience in handling Iron equipment
• Good Mechanical Knowledge
• Good communication and organisational ability
• Ensure all work undertaken is of a high quality to agreed targets and timescales
• Ability to manage time and prioritise workload and be able to work under pressure

• Self-starter and team player
