PV & BESS Performance analyst.
Reporting to
Head of CoE (Renewable BU)
Objective
As a Specialist, the person shall possess strong knowledge in analysing the performance of PV & BESS or hybrid plants.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis
Monitor and analyze performance data from PV and BESS systems.
Utilize software tools like PV syst, Plexos to evaluate energy production, storage efficiency, and overall system performance.
Performance Reporting
Generate regular performance reports highlighting key metrics, trends, and anomalies.
Present findings to stakeholders and recommend actionable improvements on performance as precaution.
System Optimization
Identify opportunities for enhancing the performance of PV and BESS systems.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement optimization strategies.
Performance Monitoring
Utilize SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to track real-time system performance.
Set up alerts and notifications for performance deviations or operational issues.
Technical Support
Provide technical support for troubleshooting performance-related issues to site team.
Work with Operation & maintenance teams to address identified problems promptly.
To visit Site and to fetch required data for analysis and also onsite inspection of all components and its performance.
Market Analysis
Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting PV and BESS performance.
Conduct market research to identify potential improvements and innovations.
Documentation
Maintain accurate records of performance analyses, optimization initiatives, and technical specifications.
Document best practices and procedures for performance monitoring and reporting.
Collaboration
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other analysts to align performance
Engage in performance discussions with external stakeholders, including regulators and clients, as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: Relevant experience in performance analysis, renewable energy systems, or data analytics.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, Excel) and familiarity with PV and BESS technologies.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and presenting findings.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of SCADA systems and energy management software.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to solar energy and energy storage.
Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics is a plus.
