We are seeking a friendly and efficient individual to join our team as a Cashier. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while handling sales transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome customers in a courteous and professional manner

Assist customers with inquiries, help them locate products, and offer advice or recommendations

Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems, including scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronic devices

Accurately process sales transactions, ensuring correct pricing, quantities, and payment methods

Provide receipts for all purchases and handle cash, credit, and debit card payments

Balance the cash register at the end of shifts and generate reports for management

Process returns and exchanges, and effectively resolve customer complaints or concerns

Package purchases securely by bagging or wrapping items to ensure safe transport

Follow all store policies related to coupons, gift cards, and restricted items (e.g., alcohol or tobacco)

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math skills and attention to detail

Ability to operate electronic payment systems and handle transactions accurately

Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
