A leading food manufacturing and distribution company in Dubai is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and manage the full accounting cycle. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and at least 6 years of experience in relevant sectors. The role includes preparing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and supporting budgeting processes and requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of accounting experience ideally within FMCG, food manufacturing, or trading sectors.
- Solid understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation processes.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
- Monitor cash flow, manage payments, and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and manage account consolidations.
- Coordinate with external auditors for timely and accurate audit completion.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal financial controls.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses required by management.

The ideal candidate is analytical dependable and hands-on someone capable of managing the full accounting cycle while supporting management with financial insights that drive sound decision-making.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation processes to ensure accurate reporting of production and stock levels.
- Support the budgeting forecasting and financial planning process in coordination with management.
- Monitor cash flow manage payments and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and manage account consolidations where applicable.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit completion.
