Job summary
A well-established company in Al Ain is seeking a reliable General Accountant to manage daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the travel industry. Responsibilities include managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT regulations. Strong detail orientation and proficiency in accounting software are essential.

- Familiarity with travel booking systems and supplier reconciliation processes.

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Accountant to join a well-established company in Al Ain . The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support management in maintaining a strong financial control environment.
- Handle general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and budget analyses.
- Monitor company expenses and assist in preparing VAT returns and other statutory reports.
- Verify and reconcile supplier invoices, particularly related to travel bookings and services.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate accounting records.
- Support annual audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
- Maintain proper filing and record keeping of all financial transactions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel or service industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and UAE VAT regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with travel booking systems and supplier reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
