Hiring for Tile Mason to work in Dubai
Job summary
A reputable contracting company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Tile Mason to perform installation, grouting, and maintenance of tiles. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be proficient in surface preparation and customer interaction. A good salary, accommodation, and transport are provided, along with an 8-hour workday plus overtime.

Responsibilities
- Ensure surfaces are clean and level for tiling.
- Measure and mark surfaces for accurate tile placement.
- Set tiles in place with proper alignment and spacing.
- Apply grout and polish finished work.
- Select and mix appropriate tile adhesive.
Skills
- Surface Preparation:
- Ensuring the surface area is clean and level for tiling.
- Applying mortar cement or adhesives to facilitate proper tile bonding.
- Tile Layout and Design:
- Measuring and marking surfaces for accurate tile placement.
- Cutting tiles to fit around obstacles and into irregular spaces using hand and power tools.
- Aligning tiles and patterns according to design specifications.
- Installation:
- Setting tiles in place with proper alignment and spacing.
- Tapping tiles into place to ensure adhesion and even surface.
- Using spacers for uniform grout lines.
- Grouting and Finishing:
- Applying grout between tiles and wiping off excess.
- Sealing surfaces edges and joints as necessary.
- Polishing and cleaning finished work.
- Material Handling:
- Selecting and mixing appropriate tile adhesive or mortar.
- Cutting and shaping tiles as needed for corners curves and other non-standard areas.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Removing and replacing broken or damaged tiles.
- Re-grouting and resealing tiles to maintain surface integrity.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing protective gear.
- Ensuring work complies with building codes and customer specifications.
- Customer Interaction (if applicable):
- Discussing project requirements and progress with clients or supervisors.
- Offering suggestions on tile selection patterns or layout.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tile masonry.

- DUTY: 8 Hours plus 2 Hours of daily overtime
