Job description

We are seeking an experienced Interface Engineer to oversee and manage technical and non-technical interfaces on a high-impact EPC project focused on flare minimization and carbon emissions reduction in compliance with ADNOC's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Interface Planning & Management

  • Develop and maintain an Interface Management Plan (IMP) and Interface Register identifying critical dependencies across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
  • Define interface scopes and responsibilities using RACI matrices.

• Stakeholder Coordination

  • Act as the single point of contact for interface-related queries among engineering disciplines, vendors, contractors, clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate alignment across different work packages and ensure timely resolution of conflicts.

• Design & Technical Interface Control

  • Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, engineering documents and equipment layouts to confirm alignment across multiple stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all interface data (tie‑ins, battery limits, routing, etc.) is correctly integrated in discipline designs.

• Interface Risk Monitoring

  • Identify potential interface risks and proactively engage with parties to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support change management processes related to interface impacts on schedule, cost or technical scope.

• Progress Tracking & Reporting

  • Update interface logs and weekly reports to monitor the closure of open issues and deliverables.
  • Participate in internal and client progress review meetings providing technical input on critical interface challenges.

• Compliance & HSE Alignment

  • Ensure all interface activities meet ADNOC HSE standards and project-specific safety plans.
  • Participate in constructibility and HAZID/HAZOP workshops where interfaces are discussed.

• Support Carbon Reduction Targets

  • Ensure all interface solutions are in line with project-specific emission reduction objectives including flare system optimisation and energy efficiency.
