Job summary
A leading HR solutions provider in Dubai is seeking an experienced Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations. The role involves managing the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment, preparing daily reports, and ensuring the optimal use of resources. Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical maintenance, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively supervise a team. Qualifications
- Experience in maintenance fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Strong leadership skills for team supervision and development.
- Ability to prepare and manage time sheets effectively.
Responsibilities
- Oversee maintenance fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment.
- Prepare daily time sheets and manage overtime hours.
- Ensure proper supply of tools and equipment to workers.
- Overseeing the maintenance fault diagnosis and repair, including systematic strip down and rebuilding of mechanical equipment and components relating to, but not limited to cranes, winches, pumps, compressors, valves, machine tools and other similar plant and installation of equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot various workshop equipments.
- Prepare daily time sheets for the team and make sure overtime hours are controlled well.
- Ensure optimum use of resources and adequate control on wastage of materials/consumables.
- Prepare job turn over for next shift and prepare daily progress reports for job done under his supervision.
- Liaise with other discipline foremen / supervision to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.
- Assist the senior foreman and supervisors in planning activities.
- Ensure that the workers are properly supplied with machineries, tools, equipment and materials and everything is in proper order and state of maintenance.
- Perform inspections to ensure that the workers performance is up to the set standards.
- Create progress reports on a daily basis and ensure that any significant information is communicated to the supervisor i.e. resource shortfalls, surplus, HSEQ concerns.
- Work as a team leader responsible for development / motivation of sub-ordinates, on the job training and .
- performance appraisal of the team members.
