Job Overview


The Chief Engineer Rail Network Inspection will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive inspection programs that ensure the integrity and safety of RTA s railway infrastructure. The role includes handling emergency situations, delivering technical training, and driving innovation in inspection and maintenance practices.


Key Responsibilities


- Develop and manage rail network inspection programs in accordance with international safety standards

- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of railway infrastructure within the Railway Protection Zone

- Coordinate emergency responses and implement corrective actions to resolve urgent issues

- Deliver technical training sessions for inspection teams and stakeholders

- Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and internal safety protocols

- Introduce modern inspection technologies and methods to enhance operational efficiency

- Collaborate with internal departments, contractors, and external stakeholders to maintain railway safety

- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on infrastructure conditions

- Recommend strategic improvements for preventive maintenance and safety enhancement

- Support project management activities related to rail network development and upgrades


Required Skills and Experience


Education:

- Bachelor s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines)


Experience:

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in railway infrastructure inspection, maintenance, or project management


Skills:

- Strong knowledge of railway protection standards and inspection techniques

- Excellent emergency management and problem-solving skills

- Effective leadership and team coordination abilities

- High-level technical reporting and communication skills

- Familiarity with modern inspection technologies and safety management systems

- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners
