We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Laundry Technician to join our facilities management team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and optimal operation of all laundry equipment within our organization. Your expertise will ensure that our laundry operations run smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. We're looking for a professional who is collaborative, resilient, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of equipment performance and safety.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all laundry equipment, including washing machines, dryers, steamers, boilers, and pressing equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency and complies with safety standards
  • Respond promptly and professionally to equipment breakdowns and service requests from the Laundry department
  • Maintain detailed records of preventive maintenance schedules, repair work completed, and spare parts inventory
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
  • Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new laundry equipment
  • Ensure strict compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations while performing duties
  • Report significant equipment issues or recurring failures to the Chief Engineer for corrective action and process improvement
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to support operational needs and share best practices
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the workshop and equipment areas
  • Contribute to energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives within the department
  • Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as required to stay current with industry standards
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in laundry equipment maintenance and repair within a hotel, hospitality, or facilities management environment
  • Strong knowledge of laundry equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics
  • Demonstrated hands‑on skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs
  • Ability to analyze problems systematically and implement effective solutions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing operational demands
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic computer literacy for maintenance reporting and documentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional technical certifications or specialized training in commercial laundry equipment
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Knowledge of UAE safety and compliance standards for commercial laundry operations
  • Multilingual abilities (Arabic or other languages)
  • Experience in a high‑volume laundry operation or hospitality setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor safely and effectively
