POSITION SUMMARY
Our jobs aren't just about mixing drinks. Instead, we aim to create an experience that is memorable and unique. Our bartenders have the basics down but are constantly seeking new trends, microlocal offerings, and evolving guest needs. They are not just beverage enthusiasts but also hosts of the space. Their role extends beyond the bar to take ownership of guest service more broadly and do what needs to be done. Bartenders will use their knowledge and expertise to make the bar look and function flawlessly. They will build relationships across the hotel and community to anticipate and deliver on guest needs. They should be passionate about guest service and have an eye for detail—from handling money and providing information to ensuring the quality of drinks.
No matter the position, critical success factors include creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, protecting assets, maintaining confidentiality, and presenting a professional appearance. Bartenders will be on their feet, moving around, and taking a hands-on approach—moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Performing these tasks well is essential to serve guests effectively and support our business goals.
At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunities. We foster an environment where diverse backgrounds are valued, and our strength lies in the rich culture, talent, and experiences of our associates. We are committed to nondiscrimination on any protected basis, including disability, veteran status, or other protected categories by law.
