Job Overview
As a Fund Financing Associate, you will play a critical role in originating, structuring, and executing fund financing transactions including subscription lines, NAV-based facilities, hybrid deals, and co-investment structures. This position requires strong credit modeling, legal documentation exposure, and deep knowledge of private equity and credit fund structures. You will work closely with senior leadership, internal stakeholders, and external advisors to drive end-to-end execution.
Key Responsibilities
* Support origination and structuring of fund finance deals across PE, credit, real estate, and infrastructure funds
* Model cash flows, perform credit assessments, and prepare internal approval packages
* Execute transaction documentation using LMA/LSTA standards in coordination with legal counsel
* Evaluate and negotiate deal terms with borrowers, partners, and co-lenders
* Assist in the internal credit rating process for new products and manage agency interactions
* Maintain accurate MIS and portfolio tracking for the lending book
* Collaborate with coverage, credit, legal, operations, and risk teams to ensure deal closure
* Guide and mentor junior team members in modeling, credit evaluation, and documentation
* Stay abreast of market developments, legal structures, and evolving fund strategies
Required Skills and Experience
* Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
* 5 10 years of experience in structured corporate lending, with at least 3 years in fund finance
* Proficiency in debt modeling, cash flow analysis, and financial statement review
* Strong understanding of fund structures, capital call facilities, NAV-based lending, hybrid finance
* Familiarity with valuation methods (DCF, LBO, CompCos) and corporate finance principles
* First-hand experience with LMA/LSTA legal documentation and loan structuring
* Exposure to credit rating agency interactions and internal risk modeling
* Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex ideas clearly
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
* Desire to take initiative, lead transactions, and work cross-functionally
