💼 Associate Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis

Are you passionate about transforming financial data into clear business strategy? At RAKBANK, we are seeking a driven and experienced finance professional to lead financial planning and analysis. This is your opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level and support the Bank’s ambitious growth journey.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Oversee all aspects of RAKBANK’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyze business performance, identify trends, and guide strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor financial results against KPIs and business objectives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to deliver actionable financial insights that support operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making and optimize costs.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of financial analysts, fostering collaboration, growth, and high performance.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of new product launches and business initiatives.
  • Monitor and maintain Risk-Adjusted Return on Capital (RORAC) and Risk-Adjusted Return on Equity (RAROC) performance metrics.
  • Establish and enhance automated and timely MIS systems to support effective management decisions.
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices, evolving regulations, and economic trends relevant to the banking sector.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to influence decisions, resolve challenges, and align business objectives.
  • Exercise sound judgment within the Bank’s policy framework and approved authorization limits.
What We Are Looking For
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CFA, or ACCA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within the banking sector.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modeling and forecasting tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability, including team management, mentorship, and collaboration across departments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Solid understanding of banking products, financial regulations, and risk-return principles.
