- Study building plans and blueprints to understand specifications and requirements
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and equipment
- Fit and assemble pipes and tubes according to specifications
- Inspect and test pipe systems to identify leaks or other issues
- Install supports, valves, and control systems for pipe systems
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other technicians to ensure efficient installation and maintenance
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout the pipe fitting process
- Proven experience as a pipe fitter
- Demonstrated knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Proficient in using pipe fitting tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good physical stamina and dexterity
- Valid certification or license in pipe fitting (if applicable)
