We are supporting our client, a top-tier global investment bank, in their effort to grow their tax advisory team by recruiting a new VP-level candidate. Focusing on international financial markets, this role will provide tax advisory and consultation across the Group's live market transactions. This is a high-profile position within a high-performing and collaborative team.

Responsibilities:

1. Taking ownership and accountability for markets and investment business tax advisory.
2. Providing ongoing support and advice to the Group's Global International Market division and Global Corporate Finance.
3. Advising on the tax implications of Group M&A transactions.
4. Driving tax strategy for the financial markets division while ensuring a robust governance framework and adherence to risk parameters.
5. Ongoing liaison with external consultants, advisors, and international tax authorities where appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

• Relevant BSc degree with a strong academic background; minimum of 6 years' experience in banking & capital markets.
• Over 10 years of taxation experience with a proven track record in corporate tax, international tax, and market transactional advisory.
• CPA/ACA or equivalent accounting qualification or Tax Lawyer.
• Solid market trading experience across equities and fixed income.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with experience interacting with stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
