Job Description

  • Provides value-added service to customers by doing whatever is reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.

  • Minimizes dangers by following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Completes air conditioning and refrigeration work as per Maintenance Repair Order.
  • Carries out preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Monitors performance and adjusts air conditioning and refrigeration equipment to obtain maximum efficiency.
  • Installs new equipment when required.
  • Responds immediately to guest and hotel staff reports on non-functioning equipment, working in line with the “no excuse guarantee” service concept.
  • Prepares, installs, repairs, and maintains all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment in the hotel.
  • Performs repairs and routine maintenance on guest room air conditioning systems, walk-in coolers, fridges, ice machines, water coolers, and other refrigeration equipment.
  • Performs repairs and routine maintenance on chillers, package units, split units, heat exchangers, and chilling units.
  • Conducts routine checks of all plant rooms, including AHU units and cooling towers, adding chemicals as needed and reporting findings immediately.
  • Performs routine cleaning of air conditioning condensers and filters throughout the hotel.
  • Attends training to stay current on proper techniques.
  • Suggests cost-saving ideas and actively participates in the hotel's energy conservation program.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintains high confidentiality.
  • Reports all potential and actual hazards immediately.
  • Understands and implements the hotel’s fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
  • Follows emergency procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests and staff.
  • Supports a safe hotel environment by adhering to hotel regulations and laws.
  • Maintains high standards of personal hygiene, dress, and conduct.
  • Informs and updates the Chief Engineer on issues and unusual matters.
  • Attends meetings and training as required.
  • Assists colleagues when needed.
  • Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to requests and inquiries courteously and promptly.
  • Accepts flexible working hours when necessary for uninterrupted hotel service.

Qualifications

  • Experience in property maintenance is beneficial but not essential.
  • Hands-on approach with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to find creative solutions and take ownership of duties.
