Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership: Manage and supervise workshop staff, completing work efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with company guidelines, safety standards, and legal regulations.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Track and manage workshop supplies, tools, and equipment. Ensure the workshop is well-stocked and equipment is properly maintained.
  • Health and Safety Management: Enforce health and safety standards, conduct training, and address any safety issues promptly.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Help control workshop expenses by managing resources efficiently and minimizing waste.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff to enhance skills and keep up with the latest industry advancements.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, inventory, and staff performance
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in trailer manufacturing and repair.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role within a workshop or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Knowledge of quality control, inventory management, and health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Qualification in Trade ( Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, Vehicle Body Builder) will be an advantage.
  • Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge.
  • Experience in hydraulics, airbrakes, air suspension, steelwork and pain.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
