Vice President of Engineering

Location

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Delivery

• Architect UWB wireless protocols for on-field devices

• Oversee embedded firmware (STM32, RTOS, sensors, power optimization)

• Ensure scalability and performance across the software stack

• Promote DevOps and CI/CD for embedded/cloud

Organizational Leadership

• Scale the engineering team from Series A to Series B+

• Mentor hardware, firmware, and systems engineers

• Align engineering with company-wide strategy

Innovation & Architecture

• Lead R&D on tracking and localization (UWB-based)

• Define firmware and RF architecture

• Ensure regulatory compliance and robustness

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in embedded systems and wireless comms

• Built and scaled proprietary wireless protocols

• Expert in C/C++, STM32, and RTOS

• Familiarity with radar/ranging/localization systems

• Deep knowledge of OSI layers, performance optimization

• Experience scaling teams in high-growth startups

• Excellent communicator across disciplines

• Passion for sports and real-time systems

Nice to Have

• Background in high-volume hardware or wearables

• Experience with AWS/GCP and real-time analytics

• Industry experience in sports-tech, IoT, aerospace, or automotive
