Overview
The Videographer/Photographer is responsible for capturing high-quality video footage and images, managing equipment, and overseeing post-production editing and grading. This role includes working directly with clients to understand project requirements, designing promotional videos, and ensuring final content meets brand standards. The Videographer also supports marketing initiatives through engaging visual storytelling and collaborates closely with the marketing team to bring creative ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Setup and Maintenance
- Set up and break down video and audio equipment before and after shoots, ensuring all cables are safely secured.
- Maintain all video equipment in working condition, performing repairs or replacements as needed.
- Ensure equipment is secure and well-cared-for during transportation and recording sessions.
- Recording and Camera Work
- Capture high-quality footage by operating cameras during shoots, directing subjects as needed to achieve desired shots.
- Follow provided scripts for structured shoots, ensuring alignment with project goals and brand requirements.
- Adjust camera settings, lighting, and sound to optimize recording quality in various settings.
- Client Relationship and Design
- Thoroughly review client briefs to understand the project scope, goals, and style preferences before shooting.
- Design promotional videos that meet client needs and incorporate client feedback throughout the process.
- Manage client expectations, coordinating approvals with the CMO and adhering to project timelines.
- Post-Production Editing and Grading
- Edit footage to ensure high production quality, including grading, sound, lighting adjustments, and accurate cuts.
- Deliver final products that align with the brand’s visual standards, ensuring accuracy in color grading and sound quality.
- Work with the CMO to obtain final approvals on completed videos before release.
- Effective Teamwork and Self-Management
- Manage priorities and meet deadlines, collaborating with team members to achieve common goals.
- Follow all reasonable instructions from the CMO, demonstrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional communication.
- Consistently represent the company’s values through work ethic, decision-making, and interactions with team members.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Film Production, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, or a related field (advantageous, not always required).
- 1–3 years proven experience as a Video Editor (portfolio required).
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Ability to interpret briefs and translate concepts into visually engaging videos.
- Creativity to enhance content through graphics, effects, transitions, and sound.
- Ability to maintain consistent branding and tone across all videos.
