Job description

We are seeking an experienced Tender Administrator / Buyer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will have a strong background in tender administration and tender buying, with a focus on construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Tender Administration : Administer the tender process, including preparing and issuing tender documents, evaluating tenders, and recommending tender awards.
  • Tender Buying : Analyse and evaluate tender bids, including pricing, specifications, and contractual terms.
  • Supplier Management : Manage supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
  • Procurement : Assist with procurement activities, including purchasing, expediting, and receiving goods and services.
  • Contract Administration : Assist with contract administration, including contract preparation, negotiation, and management.
  • Reporting : Prepare and submit reports on tender and procurement activities.
  • Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Certifications : Certification in Supply Chain Management or Purchasing, such as CIPS or SAPS, would be an advantage

Requirements

  • Qualifications : Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or related field
