PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Electrical Certificate (Section 13) or Equivalent is essential.
• 3 years working experience as an Electrician HT is essential.
• Certificate- Education Training and Development qualification will be an advantage.
• Computer literacy (MS Office packages) is essential.
• Assessor and/or Moderator qualification will be an advantage.
• Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate is essential.

COMPETENCIES:

• Must have a good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Facilitation skills and Presentation skills are essential
• Must have report writing and supervisory skills

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Ensure effective supervision of training staff.
• Ensure compliance with Impala standards, procedures and legal requirements (e.g. Mine Health & Safety Act.)
• Continuously revise current learning material.
• Design and develop learning material.
• Ensure proper assessment processes which will include moderation.
• Attend HRD meetings where appropriate.
• Ensure effective theoretical, practical and on-the-job training and coaching of trainees.
• Conduct gap analysis and take appropriate action to identify risks.Ensure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards and practices.
