We are currently seeking a qualified, goal-driven, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Technical Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness in the technical department on a national base and achieving objectives in accordance with NRCs strategy.

Requirements and Experience
  • Grade 12 (NQF4)
  • Independent Clinical Technologist.
  • Relevant qualification within a specialist area.
  • Microbiology with clear understanding of Endotoxins, Bacteria and Reverse-Osmosis in Water will be an advantage.
  • 5 Years Dialysis experience.
  • Computer proficient
  • Experience with data management and preparing reports
  • Experience with design and maintenance of dashboards
  • Prior managerial experience will be an advantage.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Computer literacy essential (MS Office Suite)

Key Performance Areas
  • Supervision of the clinical technical function planned maintenance and in-house projects.
  • Managing all water plants.
  • Internal and external contractors
  • Building strong relationships with the Department of Water and Sanitation.
  • To be actively involve with all emergency and disaster management committees.
  • Ability to cross train between Technical and operations.
  • Assistance with any Ad Hoc functions as requested.
  • Assist with financial control of the technical budget (CAPEX and OPEX).
  • Co-coordinating the utilization of clinical technical resources.
  • Regular traveling between chronic units.
  • Managing Technical requirements for HHD.
  • Active involvement with design and planning of new and upgraded chronic units.
