Serioplast, a Global Leader inRigid Plastic Packaging, is looking for a Technical Manager for the plant in Anderbolt, Gauteng, South Africa.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

The Technical Manager ensures production continuity and product quality, guaranteeing machine and equipment performance and continuous improvement by the company's standards and procedures.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervising the Technical team of the plant, managing priorities, eliminating bottlenecks, and addressing critical issues.
• Developing the maintenance plan for machines, molds, equipment, and facilities in coordination with the Production Manager.
• Monitoring the execution of the maintenance plan, organizing and supporting the Technical team.
• Planning machine installation and setup, including preparation of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic setup; carrying out sampling activities, ensuring correct process setting.
• Collaborating in testing and improving machines and equipment.
• Participating in the investigation of quality problems, finding solutions, and implementing corrective actions to ensure quality standards are met.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Excellent applied knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic systems.
• Excellent knowledge of plastic molding technologies (EBM and/or SBM and/or IM).
• Excellent applied knowledge of WCM standards.
• Good knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment rules and practices.
• Ability to operate manual and electric forklifts.
• Basic knowledge of CAD 2D software.
• Good knowledge of English.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience working as head of maintenance with industry-specific technologies and productive processes.
