About the role

We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with a background working for an IT Systems Integrator or Managed Service Provider. The role is full‑time (38 hours a week) based in our Newcastle office. You will provide technical solutions for our clients, including problem resolution, product installation, configuration, testing and product/service recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite IT support.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues.
• Maintain system performance, reliability and security.
• Collaborate with clients on technical needs.
• Recommend technologies and assist in selection.
• Create design and technical documentation.
• Support junior staff and escalate issues.
• Monitor logs and respond to incidents.
• Liaise with vendors as needed.
• Improve and automate procedures.
• Expand technical skills through training.
• Log activities accurately.
• Participate in on‑call support.
• Perform other related tasks.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Windows Server setup, administration and maintenance.
• Experience with Exchange Server setup, support and administration.
• Remote Desktop support and administration.
• Veeam backup and administration.
• Basic network troubleshooting and familiarity with Cisco router protocols.
• Basic telephone system support.
• Experience with remote support tools such as TeamViewer, Remote Desktop Manager, etc.
• VMware knowledge.
• MSP experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent presentation, communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills.
