Job summary

A logistics and recruitment agency in Paarl is seeking a Stock & Logistics Controller. Stock & Logistics Controller required in Paarl.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Stock and Inventory Management:

  • Perform daily checks on inventory levels and monitor stock movements.
  • Manage inbound and outbound stock replenishment processes, accounting for sales forecast.
  • Capture all purchase orders from Supplier and in timely manner supply transporters of incoming stock.
  • Receive PODs from satellite warehouses, transfer goods in transit to warehouse, and follow up on shortages/overages.
  • Arrange Shoprite/PNP booking slots and confirm delivery slots with transporter.

Logistics Management:

  • Plan transport for stock deliveries between farms, warehouses, and clients.
  • Liaise with drivers, dispatch teams, and external service providers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Monitor transport schedules and communicate any delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Handle all delivery, PO, and invoice queries.
  • Maintain a central record of all logistics activities, including dispatch notes, delivery confirmations, and vehicle logs.

Samples and Special Stock Handling:

  • Capture all samples for LCM (Sales) in satellite warehouses
  • Manage the movement, availability, and documentation of samples.
  • Communicate sample stock information and delivery logistics to relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sample allocations and returns.

Reporting and Administration:

  • Compile and submit logistics and stock movement reports as required.
  • Maintain accurate and organised filing systems for delivery, stock, and transport records.
  • Provide support to management during audits or stock reviews related to logistics.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in logistics coordination, warehouse management or related.
  • Strong understanding of inventory and warehouse management processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or stock management systems (Palladium advantageous).
