Job Title: Staff Accountant / Controller-Lite

Compensation: $2,000 - $3,000 USD/month (potential flexibility up to $3,500 for higher-level skillset)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant / Controller-Lite to provide financial oversight and operational support within a growing international team. This role bridges the gap between bookkeeping and executive leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, streamlined processes, and reliable financial oversight.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment. You'll be responsible for reviewing the work of a bookkeeper, preparing reports, and ensuring the shareholder/executive team receives accurate and timely financial insights without needing to manage day-to-day accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and review the work of the bookkeeper to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial reports.
  • Consolidate financial data into clear, actionable reporting packages for leadership.
  • Act as the operational link between bookkeeping and executive oversight.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies, improving accounting workflows where necessary.
  • Ensure timely reporting of cash flow, P&L, and balance sheet.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities as needed.
  • Provide recommendations to strengthen financial processes and controls.
