Purpose

Legal Specialist to provide expert legal advice and support in areas requiring specialisation. The role focuses on the development of new products and the ongoing legal management of existing products, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and enabling sound legal consultation services across the business.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law

  • 2–3 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector (essential)

  • Familiarity with product structures and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal and technical advice aligned with legislation, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Vet policy documents for new and existing products.
  • Address general legal queries and provide opinions.
  • Identify and communicate current and anticipated legal risks.
  • Collaborate with product development, marketing, compliance, and tax teams to ensure compliance.
  • Support dispute resolution processes by addressing product-related risks.
  • Review communication documents sent to policyholders and marketing materials distributed publicly.
  • Deliver proactive, innovative legal solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Contribute to a Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) service excellence culture.
